Give the Gift of Sound & Voice to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
What is your favorite Sound? If you woke up tomorrow unable to hear, what sounds would you miss the most?
Our clients come to us heartbroken as they grieve over the news of learning their newborn baby was born deaf. At the Auditory Verbal Center, we show them that when one door closes, another one opens.
Hearing loss is more common than any other condition screened for at birth.About 3 out of every 1,000 babies in the United States are born with hearing loss. Based on that estimate, each year, over 375 babies are born with hearing loss in Georgia.
Unfortunately, the window of opportunity to learn spoken language after birth is VERY short, which is why we do whatever we can to ensure our clients receive the services they need NOW. With Teletherapy, we are able to reach ALL children across Georgia.
Being a non-profit, we rely heavily on donor support. With 65% of our clients on Medicaid and the ever-increasing need to help these children, we need your help now.
Donate today to help give the Gift of Sound & Voice.
